バルセロナへ行かれる方はかならずサグラダファミリア、グエル公園へは行かれると思いますが、すこし余裕がある方はバルセロナから電車で1.5Hの距離のスペイン最古のワイナリー「コドルニウ」を訪問されてはどうでしょう。
「コドルニウ」は1551年に設立されました。ここはスペインでおなじみのスパークリングワインのブランド「カヴァ」の醸造所です。
「コドルニウ」では試飲もできる素晴らしいツアーがあります。まずGoogleでGetYourGuideを検索ください。
GetYourGuideの公式サイトがすぐに出てきますので、『バルセロナカサ・コドルニウのガイドツアーとカヴァの試飲」という名前のツアーを選択して、このツアーをまずネットで予約ください。ツアー料金は日本円で一人約5,000円（2025年3月現在）です。
このツアーは現地集合ですので、私はバルセロナ市内から電車で向かいました。私の宿泊したホテルTurinからは１時間40分の距離です。
バルセロナ市内からコドルニウのあるSant Surni Anoia駅までの行き方をアドバイスしますと以下の通りです。
Catalunya駅発の電車でコドルニウへ行く
Catalunya駅は今回私が宿泊したTurin Hotel最寄り駅でTurin Hotelから歩いて７分ほどです。
①Catalunya駅発のR４線に乗ります。
②乗車時間は59分（11駅）
③Sant Surni Anonia駅到着
④ここから徒歩では30分。駅でTaxiを拾えば10分でコドルニウに到着します。

If you are visiting Barcelona, you will almost certainly see the Sagrada Família and Park Güell — but if you have a bit of extra time, I highly recommend taking a trip to Codorníu, the oldest winery in Spain, located about 1.5 hours away by train.
Codorníu was founded in 1551 and is the birthplace of Cava, Spain’s beloved sparkling wine.
The winery offers an excellent guided tour that includes a tasting session. First, search for GetYourGuide on Google. You will quickly find the official website — look for the tour titled “Guided Tour and Cava Tasting at Codorníu Winery from Barcelona” and book it online. As of March 2025, the tour price is around ¥5,000 per person.
The tour is a meet-on-site experience, so I traveled there by train from central Barcelona. From my hotel, Hotel Turin, it took about 1 hour and 40 minutes in total.
Here is how you can get to Codorníu from central Barcelona by train:
- Depart from Catalunya Station – This station is about a 7-minute walk from Hotel Turin.
- Take the R4 line from Catalunya Station.
- The train ride takes about 59 minutes (11 stops).
- Get off at Sant Sadurní d’Anoia Station.
- From there, it’s a 30-minute walk or a 10-minute taxi ride to Codorníu.

Sant Surni Anonia駅を出てすぐ目の前にフレシネ(スペイン語でFreixenet)のワイナリーがあります。今回ここには寄りませんでしたが、フレシネはスペインを代表するスパークリングワインとしてコドルニウ同様有名で、150ヵ国で愛されています。こちらはSant Surni Anonia駅から見えるそのワイナリーの写真です。
Right outside Sant Sadurní d’Anoia Station, you will find the Freixenet winery (spelled Freixenet in Spanish). I didn’t stop by this time, but Freixenet is just as famous as Codorníu and is one of Spain’s most iconic sparkling wine producers, loved in over 150 countries.

Inside, you’ll find this reception area, where you wait for the tour to begin.
コドルニウの見学ツアー コドルニウの見学ツアーでは最初にコドルニウの歴史とワイン 造りを紹介する短いビデオを見ます。その後、カヴァの製造工程について学び、地下20メートルまで降りて、電気機関車に乗ってセラー坑道を見学します。この後、美味しいスパークリングワインを試飲する時間となります。
このツアーのおすすめポイント は何と言っても、3種類の高級カヴァを楽しむできることです。
こちらは本ツアーで前を通る創業者が昔住んでいた邸宅です。
Codorníu Winery Tour
The Codorníu tour begins with a short video introducing the history of the winery and its winemaking tradition. After that, you learn about the cava production process, descend 20 meters underground, and ride an electric train through the cellar tunnels. Finally, it’s time for the best part — tasting their delicious sparkling wine.
The highlight of this tour is definitely the opportunity to enjoy three different varieties of premium cava.

エレベーターで地下２０ｍのワイン貯蔵後へついてから地下広く掘られたワイン貯蔵庫の中をトロッコで進みます。地下に広がるワイン貯蔵庫に整然とならんだワインは壮観です。以下の動画でどうぞご覧ください。
After taking the elevator 20 meters underground, you ride a small electric train through the vast, tunnel-like wine cellars. The sight of the countless bottles of wine neatly lined up in the underground storage is truly spectacular.

Sure enough, right after the tour you’ll find the very three wines you just tasted available for purchase.
